Our God is with us

But now, this is what the Lord says,
    He who is your Creator, Jacob,
    And He who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
    I have called you by name; you are Mine.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.

When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched.
Nor will the flames burn you.

For I am the Lord your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I give Egypt for your ransom,
Cush and Seba in exchange for you.
— Isaiah 43:1-3

TGSC EM family,

It is so encouraging to know that our Heavenly Father loves us and promises never to leave us.  What is truly remarkable about God’s words is that they are never empty.

When He says that He’ll be with us, it means just that.  God was with His people when they crossed the Red Sea on dry ground.  He was with them when they crossed the Jordan River just before entering the Promised Land.  He was with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego when King Nebuchadnezzar had them thrown into the fiery furnace because they didn’t bow down to his statue.  In each of these events, God’s people did not perish and were delivered from the hands of death.  God was, is, and will always be with His people.

I want to encourage you to continue to look to Him and allow Him to be your hope and strength during your times of trial.

Our God is with us.  Amen.
